This is my second Fitbit watch and I am finding that the batteries don't last that long! I have to recharge everyday after only a year of use. Is this typical? What is the verge lifespan of an Ionic?

Mine is still functioning after 4 years and the battery still lasts 4+ days.

Thank you for letting me know. It appears the particular watch I purchased is not as durable as yours!

The Ionic is a complete **ahem**. I am on my fourth one, and I am about to have to warranty it because it wont accept a charge even though i have had it connected to the charger for 3 hours now, still sitting at 16%. I have had these issues with the Ionic, the screen went out, moisture got behind the screen, bluetooth function went out in it, and now this one where it wont accept a charge.

My 2nd and last Ionic died yesterday (April 16th 2021) aged exactly 2 years,
The 1st one spluttered and gasped for 1 year before for being replaced under warranty.
I loved the Ionic's features (which worked most of the time) and the more rugged look of the watch compared to all other fitbit and Apple watches.
Not sure what to do for a fitness/tracker based watch next?
I know there are some lucky folks out there who are going into their 4th or even 5th year of flawless ionic performance but there is just a catastrophic longevity flaw somewhere in this watch's component/software design for most of us... It's a shame.... Anyways, moving on...
