Like the Ionic EXCEPT for NO VIBRATOR

Bought the Ionic and handed down the charge 2, because the Ionic has built-in GPS.  One thing the Charge 2 has was a very good vibrator, so my morning wrist alarm didn't awaken my spouse.  The Ionic supposedly has that same feature, but the vibrator didn't vibrate.

Then there was a software update and it worked on the day Iwas going to return it, so I figured great, problem solved.  It worked just long enough that I could no longer return it, then it never vibrated again.

Frankly, as much as I otherwise like the Ionic, had I known I would I would no longer have a vibrating wrist alarm, I would not have bought it. It was twice the cost of a Charge 2, yet failed at a function I had used every day and was supposed to work on this pricey beast. So while I have given family Charge 2s as gifts, I would not give them an Ionic because the vibrator only existsbin the spec sheet...not in the device.

It should be under warantee. Fitbit should replace it - contact Support (my Ionic vibrates beautifully, so there is something wrong with yours ). Link for Suppprt is in my signature.

Agree with what @NellyG says.  However, I will add that the vibration is gentle enough that it is easy to miss if you are doing something else.

To test it properly, I would recommend setting an alarm to go off in a few minutes and then wait to see if it vibrates.  If it does, then you have just missed it.  If not, then definitely get in touch with Customer Support.

If it vibrates but is just too gentle to wake you, one solution many have tried is to set several alarms a few minutes apart.  Hopefully the insistent vibrating will wake you, even if the initial one doesn't.

I did test it...in fact, I followed every instruction on the Fitbit help section, none of which worked.
