Lost connection yesterday. Won’t sync and Bluetooth is cycling connection. Will not pick up WiFi. App is up to date as is iOS12. Already tried to re-add it, but it gets hung looking for WiFi.

Thoughts?

For those following the issue. The Ionic restart is holding the left and bottom right button through a couple of flashes until the fitbit logo comes up. Let go and wait for the home screen to return.

I haven't had much success with Wifi sharing between my 6S and Ionic either Rusty. I have two and a Versa - when the option to use slower (but more consistent) blue-tooth connection, I use it. As far as cycling goes, once lost, the best way out of the loop is to turn the iPhone completely off and then back on for a clean reboot. Works great for months, sometimes a reboot is refreshing.

Good to see you again.

Thanks!  It’s worked great for 4 months and then all of a sudden ‘bonk’...Unfortunately,  I’ve tried rebooting  the phone and still have not had any luck. I might go over the my neighbor and try their WiFi just in case. Then at least I can rule out something funky with my router.

Thanks again for the advice. 😊

My connectivity has stopped working.  I have tried turning the phone off and on, the bluetooth off and on, even my PC off and one and I still can't connect.  What did you do to fix your problem.  I'd be grateful for any assistance

Mick, turn the PC off.

On your mobile delete the App.

Go to bluetooth, forget your tracker and turn bluetooth off.

go to fitbit.com/setup on the browser of your mobile and hit pink button to download the App from App store. If it says "open" instead of download, you didn't delete entirely, home/wiggle/x

Turn Bluetooth on (don't connect anything yet)

Launch the App signing in with your fitbit account assigned email and fitbit password.

Let us know if everything talks again or not

So... I feel like an idiot, but I rebooted my Ionic when I finally figured out how to🙄. All is well and it is working as it should. Crisis averted.
