Loss of heart rate, battery life & now calibration error

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

After a pool swim, watch got very hot, lost all battery charge & vibrated consistently.  Recharged successfully. However, after several months & multiple resets, still no heart rate information, battery now fully spent within 24 hours (& less when tracking exercise) &, at 8pm every night, seeks to calibrate but fails. What can I do?

@Traceyjo89 A warm welcome to the Community. Thanks for getting in touch about this.

I appreciate the detailed information shared. I would like you to follow these tips to extend your Ionic's battery life. Since you mentioned that you're receiving a calibration message, please do the following:

- Plug your Ionic and setting it on a flat surface
- Restart your watch or shutting down (and turning it back on)
- Once the calibration has been completed, a green check mark will appear

Let me know the outcome. I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

Thanks @SilviaFitbit.  I have previously tried all the tips to extend battery life and also multiple restarts and shutdowns.  However, I gave them all another try following your reply.

Unfortunately, battery life remains poor, the watch is not recording or reporting heart rate data and I continue to get a calibration error.  I think that the battery had a problem and this has "fried" the workings of the Fitbit.  The watch is only 18 months old and the battery problem occurred at 14 months so I'll be an unhappy customer if this can't be resolved.

Any other advice appreciated.

Exactly same issue with my ionic, it started with heart rate sensor not working, had to reset the watch and now the battery drains in few hours and this calibration message keeps coming and failing to calibrate

I’m having what seems to be the start of the same problem. Odd vibrations, heart rate monitor intermittently not working, steps intermittently not being tracked... about 2 years old. Tried all the restating maneuvers. Is this repairable, get a new Fitbit, or maybe jump to another Mary watch? Apple??

Since two weeks the watch shows unreal excercise stats and this week after a full recharge the battery died and I cannot recharge it. Resetting does not work either. Please advice. I trust there is better solution than buying a new one.
