My Ionic has been behaving flawlessly, including the overnight upgrade to the latest firmware. I have my music synced, everything the way I want it, and haven't seen the various issues others have been running into.
So I figured why don't I do something stupid and wreck everything by screwing up the ability to sync on my MacBook by trying an upgrading to High Sierra :).
But before I do so, I figured I'd check with anyone else out there who may have tried this already to save myself a potential headache. I've time machined everything, just in case.

Hi Minigno...so I can't comment, but I am curious as to how you have got your macbook and ionic to synch. I am looking at macbook pro retina 2015 with OS Sierra 10.12.6 and have downloaded the latest 10.5 version of fitbit connect on the macbook...but can't even find the ionic as a device on the list to select from. Any tips??! Thanks

I set it all up on the phone app. Then I installed the latest Mac version of Connect. Once I did that, I went to sync my music by opening connect with the phone plugged in, clicked transfer music under Music and *once it said it was ready*, I then clicked manage music.
For regular syncing, I do get an "unknown error while syncing". I typically don't use the laptop to sync anyway as the phone seems to work best. The only thing I'm using my MacBook for is syncing music.
