I've had several instances where mileage/ gps wasn't recorded correctly. Either by me not waiting for my ionic to connect or forgetting to start the activity or ???
Is there a way to edit previous runs to better log mileage?
Most recently: Ran a 5k. GPS logged 2.66 miles.
I'm not overly concerned about the heart rate/ cals burned for the missed distance. It would be nice to be able to correct it for mileage. It would be even better if there was a way to map the missed parts of a run. Kinda like mapmyrun.com
I've had similar errors when running on treadmills where the treadmill distance is... on average probably 20% (estimated) higher than what is recorded on my Ionic.

Hi @JCS87,
Sorry there's no way I know of to edit the distance for tracked exercise (someone will correct if I'm wrong). It's all handled by the GPS.
If distance is your most important metric, you could log the runs manually using the web dashboard. That will allow you to enter the distance, but the trade-off is you don't get the GPS data, maps, etc.

With regard to using the treadmill, I also have problems with Fitbit v treadmill distances. Again not overly concerned it would be nice to have an accurate account of what I have done on the log in order to improve, especially during the winter months. Is there anyway Fitbit can amend the edit function in order for distance to be corrected?

Dave’s way works... here’s how I log my treadmill runs.
Step 1: get on treadmill, start the ionic treadmill app.
step 2: run run run
step 3: end exercises. Make note of miles ran via treadmill counter.
Step 4: login to Fitbit through the web app.
Step 5: log treadmill exercise manually - in the log you should see the exercise you just did. When manually inputting make sure to set the start and end times the same as the recorded exercise. (This will allow you to see heart rate during your whole run)
step 6: don’t be a cheater! Delete the recorded run so you just have them manually input run.
Step 7: SUCCESS! Enjoy
