Fitbit Ionic just purchased
Firmware V27.25.16.7
Set up with Galaxy S7 edge
During setup firmware updated
After that, device seemed to be working but had problems syncing – had to repeatedly restart device or Galaxy.
Then:
After finding fitbit shut down for no charge on battery charged it I started monitoring it more closely:
12/2
7 AM – when I woke up battery icon red, would not sync. Put on charge – showed 3 % remaining
9:10 am – checked – full charge
12:30 pm – no sync for almost 3 hours, no heart rate (no lights on rear), only about 183 steps, would not sync
16:48 – showed last sync 9:46 am.
17:20 – still no more steps, no heart, put on charge and display said 27% charge only about 10 hours after showed 100% charged. All it seems to do for me is keep time.
really starting to wish I had never upgraded from prior fitibit which had multiple problems. I had decided to give fitbit one last chance. Now find support (other than forum) is only by chat or twitter. No abilbity to e-mail support is provided.

@whalfma Due to the experience you are having, I've gone ahead and reached out to our support team and had them create a case on your behalf. They should be in contact via email soon.
In the meantime, I would recommend reviewing this article for some tips on how to improve battery life.
For anyone who may be having a hard time syncing, I would perform each of the steps detailed in the article, here.
Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes.
