Music from my phone won't show up on Ionic

I paired Ionic classic with my OnePlus 3t. I go to the music menu on the Ionic and I can see that it's connected to my phone (the little green phone icon suggests that). When I play something from my phone (usually on Tidal), I can't see anything on the Ionic besides: "Start playing music on your phone", but my phone is already playing music. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hey there @OctavianC, it's nice to see you around the forums! Robot Very Happy The reason why your tracker is not playing your music from your OnePlus 3 is due to this device is not compatible with the Fitbit app

The developer team is aware of the need to add new devices to the list of compatible devices. There are some users who can synchronize with non-compatible devices. If your phone meets the requirement of Minimum Supported OS (Android 4.4 KitKat), you can try the tips on the following help article: Synchronization troubleshootset up troubleshoot or even notifications troubleshoot

Note that we don't guarantee that the synchronization would be will be successful as we are still testing on this phone model.

However, I assume as per the description of your post that you've been syncing with your mobile device (perhaps it does meet requirement of Minimum Supported OS, Android 4.4 KitKat?). Anyways, since it syncs to your Ionic, I'd recommend checking the article "How do I control music with my Fitbit device?". If you've followed the instructions in that article and you keep having issues playing your music. Then, check the "Why can't I control music on my phone with my device?" article for troubleshooting steps.

Don't forget that we don't guarantee that the steps will work as the mobile device is not compatible.

Hope that helps, I'll be around if you need further assistance!

Any info on when the Pixel 2 XL will be supported? It is running the latest Android version (8.1 as of now). I know you as a person cannot change much here but I never heard from Pebble that music controls were not supported on any special Android device. Maybe the Dev team your company has acquired lately can help here 😉

Thank you for your response. It meets the requirements of the Fitbit app. It's running the latest version of Android. Myself and others like me are eagerly waiting for the developer team to add more support. Especially the ability to answer calls on Android (the lack of which I personally find ridiculous)
