My Ionic has started to randomly restart itself. Why? It's annoying when I'm in the middle of an exercise and it does this. I paid too much money for this to not work correctly.

@CritterGirlUP, I am not sure why it is doing this. But, try restarting it 3 times a row to see if that corrects it.
Restart the Ionic:

If the restart does not work, I would contact Support to see what they have to say. Your Ionic should not be behaving like that.

My Fitbit had crashed etc. yesterday at 17:50 (5:50 PM +2 GMT). I noticed this 18:55 (6:55 PM) and after awhile of pushing buttons, it resterted itself. After that it has been restarting itself periodically. First it stops responding, the screen stays black. Then it restarts. Yesterday evening it did it once, today it has been doing it since 6:30 am. It stays on for a couple of minutes, after that it stops responding and it restarts itself, or I have to restart it.
I restarted it myself, but it didn't help.

Mine crashed today around 5pm ET. It will not stop showing the fitbit startup screen (blue dots). I tried the reset as suggested, looked promising, then the startup screen came on again. Its like when the screen goes into rest mode its loses connection and restarts itself. Also, noticed my time was not correct two times so far. Synced with phone and time was fixed, but has incorrect time again.
Help!

Hello,
These instructions were emailed to me from Fitbit. I did all these steps and have had no issues yet.
Please do the following:
Update the Fitbit app to the latest version, for instructions see How do I update the app to the latest version?
Then please check for updates on your phone's OS > On your iOS device go to Settings > General > Software updates. If there's a pending update please perform the update first. If not update is listed, please continue with the next step.
Remove the Versa from your account. (On your Fitbit app please tap on the account tab icon which is the one located on the top right corner that looks like a credit card > Select Ionic> Once on the Ionic's menu scroll all the way down > Remove the Ionic from your account.
Now, please remove the Ionic from your phone's Bluetooth > Settings > Bluetooth > Find the Ionic > Tap on the (i) > Forget this device.
On your watch, open the Settings app (looks like a gear icon) > About > Factory Reset.
You may see a red X or maybe the set up message on different languages, that means that your Fitbit has completed the factory reset, this is expected and not an obstacle for setting up the watch back.
At this point, you can set up and update the watch again. Avoid installing apps before having updated to the latest firmware available. Please do not forget to connect your watch to its charging cable during this process.
After following this process your watch should successfully update and connect to your account.

Hey, to get your replacement did they make you send yours in first? I’m wondering because I had too and it took 3 weeks for me to get a replacement. Now I’ve have it for a week and it’s having issues also. I’m so Frustrated.

I'm having the same issue. One day my Ionic just wouldn't charge, then it died. I wasn't able to charge it. This was back 11/12/18. I left it alone in a drawer until today. I pick it up and attach the charger as a "what the heck, why not try again..." and it began to charge! Now it's fully charged but it keeps resetting, and the Date says November 12th and the time is an hour slow. I tried restarting three times and nothing has changed. I also can't seem to connect through bluetooth...Any help would be great. As was said by others, I spent way too much for this device to fail less than a year after use.

I couldn’t agree more, my replacement is already worn out, the color is faded and the bands stretch out all with normal wear. I will not be buying anymore of their products.
