My Fitbit Ionic stopped working after swimming

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi there, I’ve swum many times with my Fitbit on but yesterday after swimming in the sea it started to flicker and now it doesn’t switch on at all. I’ve tried rinsing it in fresh water many times. I’ve had it on charge all day but still nothing. I’ve also tried a full factory reset. Any more suggestions?

 Thanks

Clive

Hi, unfortunately its probably suffered water damage inside, you may be able to see condensation through the back windows.

Don't charge it, allow it to dry as much as possible for a week or so before trying charging and if it gets hot stop charging it.

Hi Cindy I placed the watch in a jar of rice for over a week and then charged it but the display is still blank.
