My Ionic Has Locked me Out After an issue with Unlocking it From the Phone

So, somehow my Fitbit Ionic got locked. The screen displayed the message "Unlock with your phone." After coming here to the forms to try and see why this meant, I saw an answered post instructing me to remove the watch from my devices and reinstall it as a new watch. I did this after trying to reset the pin number and an error occurred that removed the old pin but did not update the watch to the new pin so the message is still there. This reset works up until the point in which it asks for the code. Because of the fact that I cannot unlock the screen, the watch cannot be reset and as such is effectively a $300 paperclip.

What do I do about this? I feel like I should add that I tried this with my tablet and my laptop and had the same issue.

Unfortunately, the advice you found was wrong. You can unlock a locked fitbit from the app but only if the fitbit is still connected to your account. Removing the fitbit means that the process will not work. I don't know a way round this so if you don't get a solution here then I'd recommend contacting customer support via contact.fitbit.com
