My Ionic no longer calculates elevation gain

Indeed, this is not an issue with the Ionic.
This is an issue (a bug) with the whole Fitbit platform.
I have reported this here (with many details):

Let's hope they fix it soon.

If you're using GPS to track your workout, a map of your route, pace and elevation will show in the summary. Please confirm you're following these steps to track a workout: How do I track my workouts with my Fitbit device?

 

I would like you to provide me with more details, please reply to the following questions: 

- Are you seeing elevation gained in your Ionic when you finished an exercise?

- What type of activity are you tracking?

- Are you getting elevation gained in your Dashboard?

I can see that the Ionic is measuring the altitude. It is simply not calculating the "elevation gain". That is why it must surely be a software fault.

The activity is cycling and it was working until a few weeks ago.

I do not have elevation gain on the dashboard.
