My Ionic "dies" when transferring music

First I transferred a couple songs and it worked so I tried to transfer a play list of over 100 songs. Transfer from Windows 10 PC came up with an error that the Ionic had disconnected. When I looked at the watch it was dead, even though its charge was at 72% 5 minutes earlier. It would not turn back on and all troubleshooting tips failed. A week later, I put it on the charger and it woke up. I went without music for a while and just tried transferring a playlist again and again the watch died. I can only hope it will be resurrected in a week. I'm thinking music transfer causes the watch to get stuck in a process loop and doesn't break out until the battery is fully drained. Seems like music transfer is a problem area for FitBit and judging by the number and age of posts on the topic, I wonder if it will ever be fixed. Time to look elsewhere? or is Versa 2 going to fix what was delivered broken on the Ionic?

Welcome to the Community @Canman-JAC. Thanks for the detailed mentioned and the troubleshooting tried.

Sorry to hear that your Ionic stops working when you're transferring music. I would like you to make sure you've fully charged your watch and then follow this procedure to download your playlist to your Ionic.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for responding, but at the moment my Ionic remains non-responsive
since it just "died" yesterday. If it follows past experience, it will
remain dead until the battery fully discharges in a week or so. It will
then be resurrected after charging.

I had just taken it off of the charger and it was at 72% when I started
transferring music. I doubt the battery died in the 15 minutes I was
transferring music. This is not the first time this has happened while
transferring music. Once it resurrects, I'll try again, but you will have
to send me something else to try since I was already following the
instructions on the page you linked in your response. Hence my frustration
with this overly complex and problematic feature.
