What do you mean by "divide"? Can you clarify your question, please?
If the heart rate sensor light is always blinking; please try the following workaround that helped me once I experienced the same:
- On your Ionic, go to the settings app (gear icon).
- Turn the heart rate option to off, sync your Ionic.
- Turn the option back on and sync your Ionic.
- The lights should turn off if you leave your tracker (without wearing it) on a surface.

I would suggest restarting your Ionic by pressing and holding the left button and bottom right button together for 15 secs.
