I have 2 fitbit products just die on me each lasting 2 years. I had a Fitbit Blaze which I used for 2 years and it stopped working. I called the Fitbit help and they were not able to revive the Blaze. They said they would give me a 35% discount coupon and I would have to purchase another Fitbit. So I thought I would upgrade to a Fitbit Ionic. I bought the Ionic on 8/24/2018 exactly 2 years back. Today (8/24/2020) my Fitbit Ionic stopped working. I called the help desk and they said that they could not do anything and would not be able to revive my Ionic. They offered me a 35% coupon to buy another Fitbit product. How can it be a coincidence second time. And not just that how can it stop working exactly on the same day. I fortunately had a purchase receipt dated 8/24/2018. I am trying to dig into my previous Blaze receipt to check the date of purchase.

I understand the temptation to consider this a plot/scam, and there is certainly fodder for conspiracy theories.
But actually 2 years is better than many.
