My fitbit Ionic Wont turn on!

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hello,

My Fitbit ionic battery died extremely fast today, and when I went to charge it would not charge. Does display and charging symbol, or fit bit symbol.

It's just ever so slightly lights the scene then goes dark again.

I've tried a hard reset to no avail.

Any help would be great full.

Thank you and regards

Colin

This is odd because I faced the same issue on yesterday. I only had it for 13 months.  They wouldn't replace it, only gave me a 25% discount on a new one.  I had just charged it a few days ago and still had plenty battery life.  It just went completely black yesterday evening.  I think something happened on that last update.  Looks like they were trying to force us to buy a new one.

I am chatting with someone now and they said no one has reported this issue.   I have replied to all post since 1/6 that is having the same exact issue so that I can track it and prove to them that it is not just my device.  Be sure to give them a call to start and incident.

Same thing with mine.

13 months old.

This is the third forum I've visited for this issue; I'm seeing the same thing happening a lot between 13-16 months old. Just out of warranty. 😕

I was gifted an ionic 2 weeks ago. This was my first Fitbit. It was great to track metrics. While playing tennis yesterday, it died and has not recovered since. No amount of button pushing or other troubleshooting steps is helping. Looks like there are others facing similar issues.

Others are experiencing the same problems that we have had. I actually got
off the phone with Fitbit they said they could not do anything for me but
all for me a discount on a new one.

This seems crazy, my Fitbit Ionic literally died this morning as well.  I went to bed with 50% battery too. I've had it for 14 months, and support said the same thing to me, sorry we can't replace it, but here's a 25% off code for a new one!  Thanks for nothing!

Hi
I did manage to get Fitbit to replace it. They offer a replace for the
display. Or 50% off a new device.
New display seems fine. Although there online chat service is poor hard to
use.
All in order now.
