My heart monitor quit (Green LED not flashing)

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I wear my Ionic 24hrs daily other than periodically charging while I get ready to go to work, and when I take it off to give my wrist a rest in the evening. It has worked floawly since purchasing until this morning. Usually when I take it off the 'green lights' on the underside (heartrate monitor) are lit so I face them away from me. THis morning they were not lit. I put it back on and noticed that for heartrate it was displaying --

I couldnt do much at the time so I put it on charge to be sure it was full. When I pulled it off the charge it was 100%. heartrate monitor still not working. I looked in the fitbit app on my iphone and it stopped recoding data precisely at 5:05am - the exact time I took it off to get ready for work. (suspicious).

Searching these forums I have done the soft reset multiple times as suggest. Did the hard reset mutiple times, and did the full factory reset twice. It is still not functional.

I have looked through all the settings I can find (convinced it is somehow just 'shutoff') and  found Heartate Monitor On/Off. I have toggled it, reset, and tried every manipulation I can think of to no result. I am out of ideas at this point - any help will be appreciated

Latest Firmare on Ionic, App is up to date on an iPhone running iOS 11.2.5

It's nice to see you around the forums, welcome @Semperfidad! Thanks for already troubleshooting this inconvenience, nice way to go! Smiley Very Happy

Are you still having issues with your heart rate reading? If so, please take a look at this post and double check if all the tips and recommendations suggested there were already attempted.

Looking forward to your response!

Merrill, Fit and tightness has zero to do with the green LED's not
flashing. After multiple hard resets including deleting and reinstalling
the fitbit app on my iDevice, multiple cleanings of the device including
charge ports I was finally able after three days to get the hearbeat
monitor working again. To be honest I have no idea if I did anything that
caused it to return to operation of if it were coincidence, but bottom
line it is working. To recap (this is the part you didnt read). The green
LED quit flashing when I took it off one morning and would not re-start
flashing when I put it back on so the heartbeat monitor was not working.
After no tangible assistance from FitBit I began blindly resetting (soft
and hard) and cleaning (using alcohol based solvents) until after three
frustrating days it began working again...

I had a similar experience after applying the latest firmware update.

Went through all the steps a few times; finally engaged support and was told to do all the steps again. For whatever reason, it started working - I did nothing different from attempt to attempt. (Granted, I didn't suffer for three days as you did; only ~24 hours)

I have never come to the site before but I am at my wits end. Been working on my Iconic for DAYS. i've done ever step. reset soft and hard, did factory reset. Now i can  not get the iconic to do anything but flash "fitbit.com/setup" in many different languages. My app still recognizes the iconic because it shows the battery is full. $300 for a watch I should have stayed with my charge that worked so much better.

I'm also having issues with my Ionic LEDs.  The heart rate function is still working however it will not record or chart a resting heart rate. i've tried shutting down, soft resets, factory reset, forgetting and reconnecting device.  Nothing has worked, LED's still off and i've not had an actual RHR since August 2019. The fitbit app just shows 57 but nothing charted.

I'm currently having the same problem as well with my Ionic. Numerous soft restarts, shutting it down. Toggling on/off on the heart rate settings for both watch and app. Syncing it every which way I've tried. But still cannot get the heart rate monitor to work again. Been 2 days now.

Same issue for me.  No lights for 2 days now.  No HR, only occasional steps, nothing recorded since Tuesday evening.  What do I do?
