My iconic was stuck on message screen now stuck on wallet screen following the update

So my Fitbit iconic would flash back and forth to the message and the clock screens starting about 2 days ago and so I decided to try and fix this by doing the update now it is stuck on the wallet screen flashing back and forth between that clock screen with a vibrate  between . I've shut it down several times and it defaults back to the wallet screen  flashing back and forth between the clock screen in the wallet screen. How do I fix this?

I have done several restarts,  but not a factory reset. Not sure how to do that.....
