My ionic does not turn on when I move my wrist I have to press the left button why?

Can someone tell me how to get my ionic to turn on when I move my wrist it will only work if I tap it and I don’t alway know when I get a text because of this.

You might have accidentally turned off 'Screen Wake'.  Hold in the left button as few seconds.  At the top see 'Screen Wake'.  Tap it to toggle on or off.

yes thank you that was it! Few I thought I got it wet and did something to it.

It's a fairly common problem that gets done accidentally.

All I get is the authentication for Fitbit Pay.  Is there another way to enable screen wake?

Try going to 'Settings' (scroll right from clock face). tap it and scroll down to 'Screen Wake'.

Different actions can be configured to the left button which is great for making it act how you want, but can make it tougher to describe where things are.

I got it to work on my Charge 4, hold the left button, swipe left, you’ll see “DND” and “sleep below that, now swipe up and Screen wake is visible. Tap that and a bulb will show and you are finished. But, thanks for trying to help.
