My ionic has stopped syncing with my i phone x

I have read about the syncing problems and have deleted and reloaded the app. Deleted the ionic from blue tooth and re set. The app says it has found the ionic and i get the tick but then it just keeps going round in circles connecting to the tracker and nothing happens

I had this same issue. I got deleted device from the app then went to setup new device. Then I got all the way to where it would find but pin wheel it. So I hit the back button once on my phone, Then restarted the device by holding the left button and bottom right button until I saw the fitbit emblem. Then I hit sync the device and it searched and found it and had me put in the 4 digit code to sync device. Then worked.
