2 days ago my ionic would not sync with my iPhone I tried everything that was suggested in the forums . I ended up putting the ionic into factory reset and in blue tooth settings I made the phone forget this device.
half way through the factory reset procedure the ionic displayed "unable to delete date reconnect and try again " ( words to that effect) At this point couldn't even get the ionic to work as a phone , ready to throw it in the bin.!
I then went to my iPad installed fit bit app Paired the ionic and then ionic started working and looks like most of my data has been restored
now I have am able to sync with my iPad but not my iPhone , because I told my iPhone to forget this device I a, not able to pair ionic with my iPhone
Please can some one tell me how I can get my ionic to go into pairing mode so at I can sync with my iPhone!!

I had a similar issue with my PC and iPhone. It turned out that if I wanted to pair with my pc, but my iPhone was nearby it would not work as the tracker would still be paired to the iPhone. Turning off the Bluetooth on the iPhone meant I was able to pair with the pc and sync with no issues. If you are trying to pair your tracker to your iPhone with your iPad nearby, try turning off the Bluetooth on the iPad and try again.

I think if you’re having problems getting your iPhone to see the ionic, as it’s in your account and paired with your iPad after telling your iPhone to forget the Bluetooth connection, your best course of action is
1. Make sure your ionic is fully synced and up to date using the iPad.
2. On your iPad, remove the ionic from your account.
3. On your iPhone, add the ionic as a new device from within the Fitbit app. This shouldn’t be an issue as you say you’ve cleared all Bluetooth pairing.
As you’ve synced your Ionic and it’s firmware is up to date, step 3 shouldn’t take too long.
