I have reset twice , changed my clock face and still no recording

I would try a Restart several more times but if that doesn't do the trick, swipe left to Settings, then About and then Factory Reset.

Thanks , tried the restart a couple more times , no change  , so did a factory reset and Ionic now back to normal
