My ionic stopped syincing -- tried everything including resetting and reconnecting...

Since June 26 my fitbit stopped syncing with the app on the smartphone (Oneplus 5T).

So I tried the usual troubleshooting steps -- logout from the app, clear data, turn off bluetooth, reboot phone, shutdown and restart ionic, relogin into the app, try syncing, no change.

 

So I unpaired the ionic, cleared the app, reset the ionic, logged into the app, started the pairing process again...

 

So now I got to the setup screen, it tells me "found!", then connecting, after a while times out, no change. Can't connect it anymore, ionic has become useless. 

 

Anything else I should try? Any suggestion? I never had these kind of issues before.

The only other thing I can think of is uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Unless things are busy on Fitbits end, this may solve your problem.

I was finally able to solve my problem Smiley Happy Turns out I still had the ionic paired as a bluetooth device, so I went in the bluetooth settings and unpaired it.

 

Afterwards the setup from the app detected it and I was able to complete re-setting it up. Interesting that previously I even tried to set it up as new device on another smartphone, without success. It only started working after I removed the pairing in the bluetooth settings.

About half an hour after i unpaired it I tried pairing it again. It never
said it connected but eventually it synced when I put the watch on the
charger. I checked and the battery was at 66%. So odd but it stopped
syncing after the Android 8.0 update yesterday.

I have had the same problems, started about 2 days ago.  I have factory reset the ionic and for the last 2 days tried to get it to sync to the app.  nothing.  I have uninstalled/reinstalled the app twice.  It is currently downloading the update on the tracker and I think this might be it.  For some reason it appears that the wifi kept losing its connection with the tracker.

I sorry for my English. Hi, I change my phone, because my old one is broken
totally. I paid new Huawei P smart(android 8.0), end log in my account, but
ionic freezing, and I log off, create a new acc, reinstall app, connecting
ionic to new smart, updeit fitbit OS, ect. But, after 2 or 3 days, smart
watch do not sync to smartphone! I trying shutdown ionic, reinstall app,
logging off, turn off by, etc! After all, when I connect ionic to, my phone
find it, and even ask a namber of clock, but very long syncing, and fail
synk! I have not any idea what I can do!?

I have been having the same issue.  It seem to have coincided  with the app update to 2.37 on 7/2/2018.  The app keeps crashing and my iconic has not synced since then. I have not tried everything that others have, but it seems they are futile.
