I have had a Blaze for over a year and although it was finicky at times, it worked fairly well. I decided that I would buy the Ionic last week as an upgrade for the on board GPS, better graphics, and better connectivity... What an absolute waste of my time and money... Anyway here goes...
At first it started up just fine. I loaded the App to my G-Play Android phone, paired the Ionic, let it update and all worked well... For about 10 minutes. Then my Android phone's Bluetooth started connecting and disconnecting all my Bluetooth devices, notifications stopped and the Ionic would not connect. I tried reloading the app, factory reset the Ionic, power reset my phone, and still the same scenario... It would work for a few minutes and then die.
So... I took the plunge and decided to wipe my phone. Yup, I did a factory reset on the phone, I (once again) factory rest the Ionic and started fresh this morning (after the OS 3 fiasco seemed to be over). But again, nothing. It worked for the first 10 to 15 minutes... Notifications, phone, syncing, etc. Then (now) once again it will not connect, will not sync. What a waste!!!
The ONLY Bluetooth device paired with my phone at this point is the Ionic. My phone is fresh from a factory reset, the Ionic is fresh from a factory rest and yet... It is just plain not working.
As a side note, I am an engineer - I design electronics and write firmware for several IOT devices with both Bluetooth and Wifi connectivity. If our company, or more to the point, my group put out something like this we would all be fired. What a horrible user experience. What a horrible unboxing experience. I will try to mess with this a bit more but I will probably return it after Christmas. What a waste of time and money.

This company should be investigated and sued for false advertising and consumer fraud. This app DOES NOT WORK WITH THEIR OWN PRODUCTS. It does not sync. They lie and claim its a thousand other issues while they push out new devices (that won't sync either) and advertise as if everything is OK. I swear I thought I learned my lesson with the Charge HR 2 but now this Ionic has really got me pissed off. WHY WON'T YOU FIX YOUR **ahem** PRODUCTS?!?!?

OK. Last chance... Ordered a new Galaxy S9 which is "supposedly" compatible. I needed an excuse to get a new phone anyway. That being said, our products work with at least 99% of the phones out there (there are a few "fringe" phones they will not work with) but all of the popular brands work. If this still does not fix my issues, it's going back and I will scour the internet for sites that rate products and spew my story of woe. Merry Christmas everyone.
