I need a straight answer on this and not willing to sort through weeks of posts. I have had the Ionic for one week now. Android Pixel XL. All firmware and software updated on watch and phone. Have been through every permutation and combination of trouble shooting instructions on this forum. Including hard resetting my phone and removing all other Bluetooth pairings (a HUGE inconvenience that should not be necessary to make your product work).
No sync functionality. Apps won't sync (Starbucks, Weather) so they are useless, not one notification has gone through (defeating whole purpose of calling this a smart watch).
Please assume I have done all trouble shooting and followed all instructions and give me a simple answer:
Is this a hardware problem or a software problem? When is the projected fix time? An absent an acceptable answer on these, how do I get my money back?
Thanks you.

I don't think you will get a reply with certainty. When I am about to buy a product, I scroll through the negative reviews first and then look at the replies from the vendor if any . I then review the good reviews. Just because someone wrote a good review it doesn't mean the product will be good. Some consumers are passionate about what they own and it blinds them from looking at reality. There are disgruntled people writing bad reviews but generally you can figure that part from the review itself.
On a reasonably new device it is hard to know if there are design problems in hardware. Some of the issues reported in this forum can be originating from hardware.
I am looking at the issues to see what others report and so far my decision to delay buying ionic seems to be a a good one

I cant see your phone on the Compatible Devices List. Have a look HERE
If it isnt there that is probably the reason.
If you bought your Ionic from the Fitbit on line Store you can get a refund up to 45 days. If you bought it elsewhere it all depends on the store you bought it from.

Yes - shame on me for not reviewing the support forums first. All the product reviews seemed great and had assumed that with the Pebble IP acquisition, this would be a functioning fitbit/smartwatch hybrid. My concern here is that the problems seem so systemic and across so many users, that there was some sort of issue on the User Acceptance Testing side of things. Hoping there is a new firmware update on the way that addresses this.
Want to be positive here as this has the potential to be a great product, but I think the customers deserve answers on this.

This has been discussed endlessly to death on threads I've almost lost the will to live.
On Pixels All Day Sync and always connected should be turned off on the app. Once you've done this restart the phone and the watch. Unpair the watch in the phone settings a force a sync a couple of times. Yes your notifications will work.

Appreciate the feedback. How many times is "a couple of times" to force a sync. On my 8th try in the last hour. No luck. It should not be this hard.
