New Fitbit Ionic Won't Turn On!

I just got a fitbit ionic, took it out of the box, plugged it into my computer and the screen is still blank.

 

I have tried holding the top right and left buttons down and still nothing.

 

I am going to wait 2 hours to see if charging it helps but I suspect I've been sent a lemon.

 

Anyone have any suggestions as from what I can see this certainly shouldn't be happening!

Try restarting it several times - the BOTTOM right and the left buttons.

No luck unfortunately, I did try that one as well. The screen still stays off with no signs of turning on.
