I've had a Surge for a long time. Battery has finally given up. It's lasted me well. Which fitbit next. I work out @ gym, road cycle and walk. Ionic or...? Any suggestions?

I would use the compare to see what you want.
I use several different ones and I like each one for a different reason.
The charge 3 is my Fave though

Please listen to what I'm going to say, if you're main goal is fitness without all the smart watch features the Charge 3 is amazing. It's way more comfy than the Ionic and does great with tracking your exercises.
The one great thing about the Charge 3 is the price as well. I honestly believe for fitness alone it's the bext option by far. I had two ionics and they only lasted around 14 months total before they failed. For the price you pay for the IONIC it's not even close to being worth it.. The Charge 3 is a big step up in my opinion from the Surge and I owned two of those.. Also, the screen is really bright on the Charge 3 and very readable. I also think fitbit learned from some past mistakes with this watch, but honestly only time will tell.. I still firmly believe that for the price tag it's a good risk.

Hi @Mardai24, good to see you around.
Seeing as you have come from a Surge, I would say the Ionic is probably a fitting match. It's currently the only device with built in GPS, so if that's a feature you like from your surge, the Ionic will satisfy you there.
If you don't mind using connected GPS but still want the smart watch/app experience, then the Versa is a decent choice.

In my opinion if you don't need the GPS on the watch avoid the IONIC at all cost. It's 100% not worth the price tag considering it's reliability. Charge 3 all the way..
