I returned a Charge 2 back in the spring due to multiple issues involving my account somehow inheriting a previous owner's stats (purchased a returned device). I went round and round with Support and we never came up with a likeable solution. Also, the device was not regularly recording my sleep which is important to me for various reasons. Fast forward to now and I've received the Ionic as a birthday gift, so I thought I'd give Fitbit another try. I set up a brand new account so I could start fresh with my new device and to stay clear from all of the corrupted data of the previous experience. I set it up last night and at first it did not seem to be recording my steps. I recall with the Charge 2 how I could literally watch the steps change in "real-time" right on the device as I walked. I don't seem to be able to do that with the Ionic which is not a big deal as long as it eventually records properly. At first, as a test, I walked upwards of 20 steps around the house and the Ionic showed no change. Having done this several times, it eventually would "catch up" almost as if it needed to warm up or something. Now, it seems to be recording properly but in a very delayed manner - is this normal?
Now, onto the sleep feature. I wore it to bed last night very excited to see my results this morning, and....NOTHING!....it is showing ZERO sleep - I've synced it multiple times. I guess I should mention that the newest firmware edition was part of the setup if that has anything to do with this (?)
WHAT is going on with it not detecting my sleep?....my heart rate was showing as being in a very "restive" state when I woke up so the monitor seems to be functioning properly - so why no sleep data?
To add to my frustration, I walked up a flight of stairs just moments ago and my count is showing as ZERO as well as my "active minutes" being at zero as well. I am drained with going back-and-forth with Support.
Any help, or am I returning my 2nd (and probably final) Fitbit device within the past 6 months?!?!

Charge 2 issue was because they don't start with zero, takes a week or so to "own" all the stats. Same issues this go round @Moltsy57. It'll be the end of the week before your tracker knows you well enough (HR & resting HR) to do the calculations to determine how your day/nights are going. For real time stats sync your phone and monitor there after turning the mobiles screen dim feature off temporarily or you can touch the home button, then the upper right button on your Ionic to monitor steps throughout the day as well if you'd like. Welcome to forums, hope this helps.
