Hey team,
I currently live in Korea and I've just opened my fit bit to install and update it. After about an hour, three or four hard resets and phone restarts, I set the timezone to automatic, which changed my location from the US to Korea, but still am having a hard time updating my fit bit.
How long does the first install typically take, and did I just waste $200 dollars on a faulty product?

You can search on the forum here and find there have been a lot of sync problems. Fitbit said the engineers have determined the cause and will be releasing a firmware update. In the meantime, there are tons of responses on tricks that worked to get it to sync. Restarting bluetooth, removing device and re-adding to bluetooth, syncing to your laptop instead of phone. For me, the only way I can sync is when I plug my fitbit in to charge and leave it alone. Then set my phone near it and walk away.
I really hope they get this fixed soon.

Phone still won’t set.
Tried everything.
I have had every fit bit and I love it but this one is a piece of crap. Been struggling with it for 6 months now and no service responses here from the company. I have been patient but now I give up.
We should go to all customer sites and pan this crap divice. I certainly am.
