I got a new Ionic for Christmas. I download fitbit app on my droid. I went to initialize my ionic by plugging it into USB. I get a message "Connecting" and "Found it" but then the ionic screen would go blank and then the connection never finishes. I tried restarting the ionic and my bluetooth and I get the same result. I suspect this is a bad Ionic. Should I take it back to Target?

This may have been my fault. I have been deferring updates on my Droid. Once, I applied all my updates to the droid, then the connection was made and the ionic initialized. My new ionic is now working well. Sorry for the confusion.
Solution summary: Make sure your droid is up to date.

@GregRodgers, first things first - you cannot set up your Ionic by plugging the charger cable into the USB port, that has the sole purpose of charging the battery. Secondly, do not attempt to connect the Ionic by using the phone's Bluetooth settings. If you attempted to connect it that way, open the phone's Bluetooth settings, select the Fitbit device, tell Bluetooth to Forget the device, open the Fitbit app and log into it, and then open the Account screen and select Set Up a Device to begin the setup procedures. Follow the on-screen instructions.

@GregRodgers my husband has the Droid Turbo and we cannot get his notifications to work. Were you able to get yours working? If so, can you please share how you did that?
Thanks
