The firmware updated 2 days ago on my Ionic. Since then the battery drains in a day. I have had it almost 3 years now and had not issues with the battery. Usually i get 4 to 5 days per charge. Is this a known problem? I have not do e anything different than I normally do other than allow it to update the firmware.

A few have posted similar on this site. Best option whilst we await an "improved" firmware update is to connect it to a charger and do a factory reset and set it up again. This "may" fix the issue. Not guaranteed though. But it's about the only thing you can try whilst we wait for new firmware to address ALL these issues.
My gut feeling is that earlier hardware devices "may" be affected differently. Fitbit won't confirm this theory though. Or that the hardware has even changed since the original 2017 release of the device. I suspect it has.
