New ipad - and I deleted my watch!

I couldn't get my new ipad mini wifi to find my ionic watch.  so I deleted the watch from the app and tried to start again.  Now it's deleted from my phone, my old ipad and also my new ipad.  and none of them can find the watch.  just 'searching'.

I've tried with just one device and turned off blue tooth on the others.  no luck.

I've turned the watch off/on.

I've turned the ipad off/on.

any suggestions?

Ha!!

what do they say?  Ask and ye shall receive!

After all that to-ing and fro-ing, as soon as I hit 'post', everything started working!
