No longer able to receive Whatsapp Notifications

I tried following everything. Reset the Ionic, removing and reinstalling Ionic through the Fitbit app and waited to receive a Whatsapo message before looking through the App notification list to enable it. However, the WhatsApp app is still not listed on the notification list. I'm really annoyed as I use WhatsApp alot. I have no problems receiving notifications for calls, calendar events and sms texts though. Can anyone help?

Before you perform any troubleshoot, I would like to inform you that Fitbit is aware of  that some customers may experience a compatibility issue with notifications after updating their iPhone or iPad to iOS 13. We’re hard at work to resolve this issue. If you have an iOS device and you just updated your OS, please try the troubleshooting in this article: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone. 

Also, could you let me know which mobile device you're using? Did WhatsApp show before and now it disappeared?

Hi Silvia, thabks for your reply. I've also tried following the troubleshooting guide on notifications and it doesn't work. To answer your question, yes the Whatsapp App showed in the Notification list before. But after I removed and reconnect my Ionic device, it doesn't show in the Notification list. That said, when I upgraded to IOS 13, I was still unable to see WhatsApp messages on my Ionic, even though the app was enabled in the Notification list.
