ive had notifications for weeks(since the beginning), but since the recent ios fitbit app update the ionic longer longer gets the configured notifications. restarted app/ionic/phone/etc and still nothing.

I had the same problem today. Try the following. Unpair ionic from phone bluetooth, and then connect it again. then go in the fitbit App / Account / Notifications, click on it and you will be prompted to reconnect notifications to phone.

Probably too obvious, but have you swiped left and checked if Notidifcations haven't been disabled by mistake?.

Yep. But definitely something to keep in mind when troubleshooting these things. That setting is definitely a bit too easy to accidentally trigger without knowing it sometimes. I get that it's there for convenience to disable notifs quickly, but would rather it be in the settings.
