No sleep stages data -- ever

I've had the Ionic for 3 nights now. Each morning I've seen the same thing: basic sleep data only. Getting this data is important to me.

The band seems tight enough. I'm wearing it at the recommended distance above my wrist bone. I'm not using the "begin sleep now" option in the app. And I'm sleeping more than 3 hours.

Ideas?

I have the same problem. Four nights now and only simplified sleep details. I’ve tried all the advice from the forums and the help areas. I’m now waiting for a useful response from the support team having contacted them on Twitter. Maybe I’ll do better on here.

I hope I can find some answers for this.

It's one of the primary reasons I bought it.

Have you guys tried changing the sleep mode to sensitive? You can change it in the iOS Fitbit app or on your computer. When changed to sensitive it will give you more detailed sleep data.

I’ve tried repositioning the watch, adjustments in strap tension, rebooting and sensitivity.

I’ve also contacted support on twitter and that was like chatting with a machine. In essence I was told to return it to my retailer for a refund or replacement.

I haven't even had my Ionic for an hour yet, but I do have an Alta HR, and have had it since May.  I might be able to gander a guess as to what is wrong with your Sleep Stages.

Have you checked your battery life?  I have noticed with my Alta HR that I can only get Sleep Stages when my battery isn't critically low.

Have you tried a restart yet on your Ionic?  Like I said, I just got my Ionic about half an hour ago, so I don't know how to restart it yet.  I don't know if it will help or not, but it may be worth a shot.  This article may be able to shed some light on the restart process.

Good luck and let me know how it goes!

Battery has been fully charged and it’s not got down to critical and I’ve tried restarting the device as mentioned previously.

Perfect. Thanks for the tip! I was suffering the same problem as the other posts, but after switching the sleep mode to sensitive last night (on the computer)I now have the detailed sleep data appearing.
