My ionic does not count any floors. How can I make this work?

Just got a brand New Ionic and it is not registering floors. I climbed 2500 feet today, 0 floors. I have reset multiple times.

I have discovered that I climb stairs too smoothly. I guess my Fitbit assumes I am on an escalator. If I bounce up the stairs, they count.
