I have now bought an ionic, it doesn’t seem to do much more than the surge, it’s in clout though, which doesn’t really contribute very much to any workout
i was hoping to find rowing had been added to the workouts or exercise (it does use the arms after all)
but nope, not there, how can I get Fitbit to add it to the work outs ?
I have seen various threads that give various solutions, but they don’t really help much, it’s all about heart rates, not strokes, arm moments, I use a go no where rowing machine, the same machine the Olympic teams use, I use my arms, I could use some other type of work out I guess, but it’s not what I bought my ionic for, very disappointed after spending 300 quid
some people have made suggestions or said it’s not registering arm movements which is stupid, it registers if I just wave my arms around, Fitbit don’t seem too interested in putting rowing onto anything

It's great to see you around @Derrick241! Your comments and feedback is truly appreciated. Currently, rowing machine hasn't been added to the exercise shortcuts. However, Fitbit is continuously working to add new features based on your feedback. This is why we have our Feature Suggestion board, where you can post your idea and people will have the chance to vote and comment on them.
Your understanding is appreciated. If you need further assistance with any feature on your Ionic, don't hesitate to continue posting it.

Thanks for your reply
i have posted in the suggestion forum, I don’t think it will do much good though, Fitbit would rather update the latest exercise rather than the old trusted exercises that really do work and have been proven numerous times
Rowing is a brilliant way of keeping fit and losing weight, Fitbit should recognise this

Thanks for getting back @Derrick241! Fitbit is updating the status of the ideas to keep you updated about what suggestions are under consideration and which ones are not currently planned. I noticed your idea is already reviewed by moderator which means that it can be in one of Fitbit's future updates.
Hope this activity can be added soon.
