I've tried several times without success to install the new OS (3, I think) but can't get the job done.
I get as far as to a screen with a message that says "Updating your Fitbit Ionic" but then get stuck for hours (a couple of days ago it was at least six hours before I gave up) where a red bar crawls impossibly slowly across the screen. When (after at least 10 minutes) it finally gets to the end, the bar just restarts its painful crawl. There is no end. No update. No satisfaction. No clue why.
This is using a Samsung Galaxy 6 and bluetooth with wifi turned off. (My phone sternly instructs me that it must be done via bluetooth.)
Can anyone help me?

Hello @SunsetRunner are you updating through bluetooth or through wifi? Have you tried both ways?

I found the bluetooth worked better with me last update.
Have toy setup wifi on your Ionic, and is your ionic plugged into its charger and charging? Wifi OS only turned on while the ionic IUD charging.

Plug the ionic into its charger and make sure the tracker OS charging.
Now open the Fitbit AP and tap on your tracker, found at the top of the dashboard.
Scroll up top wifi and tap, now follow the prompts.
