Did you mean:

Only receive notifications for some apps not others

It is of my understanding that the Ionic has the capability to notify you of various messages received from a variety of applications. I have my Ionic paired with my iPhone SE which is on the latest version of iOS 11 (currently iOS 11.0.3). I receive notifications from iMessage and also any SMS that go to my phone, also phone calls and FaceTime calls.

However I do not receive any notifications for Facebook Messenger or for WhatsApp, or other apps such as Telegram (although I'm not sure if these are supported).

In my settings on my phone I have it so that none of my messages are previewed on the home screen, solely for privacy reasons when leaving my phone unattended, charging or what ever. I'm not sure if this is causing an issue with the notifications not being pushed through to the Ionic. But I thought that I would go into full detail so that it would be possible for someone to understand if that could be a cause for the notifications to not appear.

What do you do if Whatsapp is not in the "App Notifications" screen?  Does anyone know how to get Whatsapp there to select?

Please update your signature so we know your environment.

I have WhatsApp displayed. Try uninstalling and reinstalling WhatsApp perhaps, and rebooting the phone.

Oh and make sure it isn't selected in the screen before app notifications (notifications).

I found the issue.  2 things:

1. In the Iphone itself I had to select "Settings", "Notifications", "WhatsApp" then ensure "Allow Notifications" was enabled

2. In WhatsApp select "Settings" and ensure "Show Notifications" was enabled.

After these two fixes I was able to see Whatsapp in the Ionic notifications screen.

Thank you all.

What if no apps show up on the list? I used to have them then a couple days ago with the new iPhone update they all disappeared.
