Pairing AirPods to Fitbit Ionic

Has anyone tried pairing AirPods to their Ionic? I’ve been trying to pair mine and it’s saying it’s found them but it isn’t able to pair them. It’s just spinning around in a circle taking hours. Does anyone have any advice or a solution. Please help anyone.

@ShePickle @Huddy2006 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I've seen this before!

The best thing to do is following these steps that had helped other users in the past:

Also, check if the level of battery on your Ionic is not low. This has helped other users in the past.

You can pair them to the Ionic. However, are they still paired to your phone and is it on nearby? That will stop the pairing process.

Hi @SunsetRunner I just got the AirPods today and didn’t notice the button at the back of the charging pod. I pushed it with the AirPods inside and they were found by Ionic, so all good. Many thanks for your post 👍👍

@Huddy2006 Thanks for your reply! That is great! Thanks for sharing your experience with the Community! I'm sure this will help other users as well!

I've seen a common situation when pairing headphones and it is exactly about the "activate pairing button" that these kind of headphone have. I'm sure your experience will clarify this step for other users too.

Also, have you checked the Feature Suggestions Board? If you have any ideas for future features you would like to see on your Fitbit device, this is the best place for asking. Feel free to search for existing feature suggestions or add you own original one!

@Pevers Welcome to the Fitbit family! Thanks for removing them and trying to pair them back again.

By any chance, did you performed a restart on your Ionic before trying to connect them? You should try that! This has helped other users in the past to get the airpods paired.

Try that out and let me know how it goes! Smiley Happy

I can’t pair AirPods with The Ionic.  I have unpaired the apple devices. I have charged the ionic and AirPods   I have restarted the ionic.  It will identify the AirPods but the spinner spins forever waiting to pair.  I even updated the ionic on my devices.  Could someone do a step by step instruction on how to pair. How long you hold hold the back button. It doesn’t seem to matter for me. It just spins.   I have help it short.  U til the red 'got flashes.  And for over five minutes.   This watch has been nothing but a disappointment the wallet doesn’t work the music app is pretty limited.  So far not worth the purchase.   Please help

I agree.  I received the Ionic for Christmas and have not been able to download Pandora or pair my Airpods.  The only reason I got this version was to listen to music without having to carry my phone.  Very disappointed.

I have the same issue. shutdown fitbut. booted everything back up. Ionic states pairing to AirPods but just scrolls been doing that for over 2 minutes now. If this cannot be resolved I will need to return the Ionic.

I am planning on getting an ionic I was just doing some research to see if I could connect the AirPods to it. I currently have the charge 2 but I am looking to upgrade. It looks like it works because of the reviews you posted. Thanks for sharing.

I have the same problem with Fitbit Ionic and my Airpods. They are disconnecting after 30 seconds. AirPods are working fine with the phone. I tried all above but it doesn’t help...
