Pairing Apple AirPods with Ionic

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My own Air Pods will no longer pair with my Ionic, although they used to do so. I have now discovered that my friend's Air Pods (bought at much the same time as mine) will easily pair with my Ionic. Any suggestions?

Hello @FitterPat welcome to our Community! Let me give you a hand with your question.

Seems odd that your Apple AirPoids are not connecting anymore with your Ionic watch. I recommend you to check our help article: How do I connect Bluetooth audio devices to my Fitbit watch? for steps to pair and remove the Airpods from your device.

Let me know how it goes, I'll be around.

I followed the instructions (as I’ve done a zillion times before recently) and the result was the same as always: the Ionic finds the Air Pods easily and then sets about pairing with them, a process that would continue day and night if I let it, but the green tick never shows up (although it did so within seconds with my friend’s Air Pods—go figure!). I’ve tried this in my room and out in the street where there could be no interference from other Bluetooth devices. What I have not yet done is to restore factory settings on my watch, but I’m reluctant to do that, as it works just fine for me in all other respects, and the Air Pods used to work fine, too.

      Any help appreciated.

Hi @FitterPat welcome back, thanks for your reply and update.

Surely this is not a common behavior, even more when you can connect your friend's Apple AirPods without any difficulty. That said, it could be that the root cause of this situation is in the Ionic device or the Apple AirPods. Have you tried connecting your AirPods to another Fitbit device? Also, I recommend you to restart the AirPods and remove all the devices in the Bluetooth settings of your Ionic. Lastly, restart your Fitbit.

I'll be here if you need anything else.

FitterPat I'm having the same issue and contacted Fitbit via the pop up messenger on their website. They acknowledge they had a problem piring the 2 and had no fix for me. Told me i would have to come back to them once they have worked out the solution
