The Pandora App on the Ionic is a complete joke. It is constantly updating and never settles in. One of the main reasons I bought the watch and I just had to go out and buy an MP3 player because I dont want to carry around my piano (iPhone 10) on a run. Anyone else had these issues?

Have you tried any troubleshooting steps already? I recommend performing a restart on your Ionic.

Also, make sure your Ionic is connected to Wi-Fi when updating any apps. You can take the Ionic closer to the router for the connection to be stronger and help updates to complete faster.
