First off,  I'm not a fan at all of pandora,  it's better than nothing but I won't be happy until I can get spotify back..  Enough ranting,  here is my question...

Okay,   for whatever reason it seems that the ionic only sees and downloads the top three stations that was created on a PC!!!  What gives?

I created a custom playlist as well on my phones pandora App that only has the songs I want t hear and not matter what I try the ionic only syncs the ONE pandora station I have on the PC....   So basically,  the playlist I created through pandora on my phone does not show up at all when I log on with my PC,  nor will the ionic download it.

Just to avoid confusion-    On my phone I have a station called 80's rock Eric-    I created this on my phone by picking each song individually so there are no songs that are random.    When syncing my ionic with pandora with my phone it doesn't see the station I created with my phone.   However,   the ionic does see the playlist I created with my PC....      Now,  the station I created with my PC is also available in the ionic,  but it's the only one...

I guess quite simply,  why can't I download the custom playlist that I built with my phones Pandora App be downloaded into the Ionic?   I'm so confused guys,  please someone help me figure out where the issue is?

After days of frustration and failed attempts of trying to get my custom PLAYLIST I made on my Pandora phone APP to my Ionic,  I finally got on with customer support with Fitbit and found out the following..

Custom playlist,  with your personally picked tunes are NOT supported by the ionic.   The only thing you can download from pandora is stations.    I believe there is some false advertising going on,  or maybe they were trying to be vague..

I know many of us were excited to download our customized playlist (with only the songs we wanted) from a service like Spotify..   Of course,  pandora now has me as a subscriber, but unfortunately we really can't listen to what we want offline with our ionics  unless we use a computer and own  the MP3's..  I mean,  who really collects mp3's anymore?   I don't know anyone whom does,  we all download our playlist and subscribe to services like Spotify..

I suggest we discuss what is going on here and get Fitbit to make this right...

Out of interest, what is the advertising on this front? I haven’t seen anything but then I’m in a country where it’s not supported anyway.

You've got to be joking! I just signed up for Pandora's premium free trial, and went through setting up a playlist only for it to not be supported? Im so bummed with this. I really want to like this device, but they are making that hard.

I agree I have just fought this battle also and lost. I can't believe we can't sync custom playlists, I mean really? The GPS and the music storage were the big reasons to switch to the ionic for me. Smiley Mad

Well,  thanks fitbit,  I love my new Ionic,  but I cancelled my spotify and now pandora thanks to you..  I'm going back to spotify and I guess I'll sit and wait for the news we all expected in the first place..

If you're listening FITBIT-    PLEASE make sure when and if you get together with spotify and bring the app to our Ionic's,  for the love of GOD,  make sure we can downlload custom playlist...   After all,  this is what all of us workout do right now,  we use our phones to play our CUSTOM playlist with spotify streaming to our bluetooth headsets.  The ionic needs to be able to do this..   Also,  we need to be able to skip songs and repeat one...   Make it happen please!  This is what we thought we would get with Pandora.. Lots of angry folks in these parts in good old Texas..

I noticed that custom playlist is not noticed on the ionic as well after I created a playlist of 330+ songs, I honestly I was not a happy camper afterward, but I found a way to get around it.

1. Create your playlist on the Pandora app

2.Click the Pandora App on the ionic

3.Choose any random station

4.Click the three dots on the upper left corner of the screen on the Ionic

5.Choose Devices

6.Then choose the source to be the Phone

7.Once you do this, you should be able to start playing the custom playlist on your phones and control it with your ionic

I would do this until further updates on the ionic software and/or Pandora

Tip: A good way to be able to listen to a variety of different songs on your playlist would be putting your playlist on shuffle

I just went throigh the same frustration - bought the premium membership with Pandora, built my custom playlist, synced... nothing. Is there some kind of petition to sigb to get Spotify? Or at least be allowed to use our exprnsive Pandora playlists? Because this is some BS.
