Hey!
So I am super excited by all things Ionic, but am running a race within the next 2 months. What is the release date that it will be able to be shipped out if preordered?

Good news: Fitbit support answered my email - obviously they were "updated" and can now confirm that I will receive my Ionic by end of this week.
Ordered via Fitbit Shop on 28th August (Germany).

@NewJerseyWriter wrote:@amandagal May i ask when you placed your order?
I'm trying to get a handle on whether orders are being filled and shipped based on when the order was originally placed.
I never got an order "receipt" or anything, so I don't 100% remember the day, but I know it was the day they were announced (my ship date was 3-4 weeks, I expected it around the first of October). That one pretended like it didn't go through, so I ordered another the next day with a different credit card (I didn't have the other CC on me).

@dermbrian wrote:I've seen one person post an Amazon order status with an expected October 4th delivery (US). My order still says they'll send me an email "as soon as we can provide me a delivery estimate".
What are other people seeing from Amazon and other e-commerce orders other than direct from Fitbit?
Same here - mine still states they'll email me with estimate

my surge has been replaced multiple times under its 2 year warranty due to the strap problems.
Are Fitbit partners in the UK the ones listed here? https://www.fitbit.com/uk/retailers
Thanks

I hope a lot of people start getting emails on here today! Exciting times
By the way, I think (if I remember correctly a chat I had with Fitbit support) UK orders are shipped from the Netherlands so it might take a few days.
Anyway, getting a tracking code would be a good start 🙂

If I order today in the UK, will I receive it on 2nd October (release day)? I would prefer to order from fitbit website as they offer 45 day money back guarantee - I am not sure if Amazon/John Lewis etc have the same policy?
Bought the Apple watch series 3 and testing it under the 2 week returns policy, was exciting at first, but novelty has worn off - I have found it has become a little annoying linking to my phone all the time. I am thinking I may prefer the Ionic.

Yes that's correct, the UK orders are dealt with by Moduslink bv. I wonder if they are also responsible for distributing the stock to retailers. From looking at their website I would probably say that was the case.

This is what a google search of "fitbit ionic uk" result reveals:
I am hoping this means the 3-4 week shipping on their website is wrong, and they are shipping in 14 hours, as i have ordered one just now and paid an extra £8 for expedited shipping! (It does say shipping in 14 hours)

I just had a look and saw what you said, although when you click through to the site and click preorder it still says 3-4 weeks. Strange.

I just asked fitbit on FB and there is no estimate for me but the 4 weeks is the 29th and not the 27th that i have marked on my calendar 😞 I ordered on the 30th August and I am now thinking I have more chance of getting one from Argos as they state they will have them from the 2nd October.
has anyone in the UK had an update from order received status?
It was 3-4 weeks estimate on the 30th Aug and i thought that ordering from fitbit direct would be quicker than going to my local argos. live and learn LOL

The same search on google now says 12 hours. 12 hours from now is midnight European time - so it is starting to make sense and looks like they will ship tonight. It also says "pre-order your fitbit ionic before they hit the stores", which is the 2nd October - ohn Lewis, Amazon etc. My detective work leads me to believe everyone will receive theirs this week, and perhaps if you paid for expedited, by wednesday/thursday. They are simply just to lazy or "dumb" to update their shipping times on their actual website, or inform their customer service agents what is going on.

Fitbit have paid for a google ad with a countdown - as it has just changed to 11 hours.
It is a shame they do not have the sense to change their website accordingly, and their poor customer services agents based in the Philippines are like robots reading from a script - with no idea what is going on, and probably no clue what a Ionic watch is or does.

Has anyone in EU/UK/Ireland, who preordered from Fitbit Store on the 29th September had any sort of update?
I am considering cancelling my order if no update by the EOD as it will then have missed the shipping window with no update from Fitbit. I'm in Ireland but usually the UK and Ireland markets are dealt with as a unit by US companies.
Hoping to hear some good news from someone out there!

Fitbit google (paid for) ad is saying shipping starts in 11 hours - however website still says 3-4 weeks. I think the former is correct. Good luck trying to get clarity from Fitbit!

As an avid advocate for AdBlock I don't see ads
My bank notifies me via the smartphone app when a transaction is processed so I am hoping to see that happen today! I will update this discussion group when if that happens today but in the meantime if anyone in the region has confirmation please let us know! This is worse than waiting for Xmas!

mine hasn't even changed from order received yet. I am quite annoyed that I preordered now because I am stuck. cancel the order and my local shops don't have stock on the 2nd so I could of had the watch on time.
or don't cancel and I am stuck waiting for the time it takes to be despatched and get here while people pop into my local argos or get an Amazon prime delivery on the 2nd/3rd.
patience is not my strong point!
