Raise to Wake not working on 8 month old Ionic

My Ionic is about 8 months old and now the screen won't wake when I raise my arm. Can't swipe right like some solutions state.

Hold in left side button a few seconds.  Look for 'Screen Wake'.  Tap to toggle between auto and manual.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
