How does all of this help with the screen freezing/ not illuminating when tapped or when any of the side buttons are pressed? If my screen does illuminate by wrist motion, I still cannot swipe the screen to access any data or apps.

Sorry @jbvoss none of the above will help you. 

You say that you have a screen issue, his thread is about a delay in notifications. 

 

The first thing you want to try is a restart
