Re-attaching bands

How in the heck do you get the bands to lock back into place?  I have taken them off and they wont lock back into place.  It looks like you just insert and it should snap into place, but mine is not snapping at all.  It is almost like the pins have stayed retracted.

I had this - just had to push them in extra hard and eventually they snapped in correctly

Thank you both, I did finally get it.... like you said, push really hard and even a tiny wiggle while doing it.  Thanks!

Thank you all. I was getting crazy trying to reattach it, so it was only a matter of pushing harder.
