Reconnecting Ionic Fix

This might help someone else in the same situation I found myself.

I decided to  "factory reset" my Android phone (Nexus 5X running 8.1.0) on Friday as it was becoming a bit slow and sluggish. (I have probably done it 3 times in the nearly 2 years I have had the phone - it definitely helps with performance and battery usage). I used the normal option of accepting the option of the phone restoring the settings and apps from the Google cloud. This meant it restored, amongst other things, the Fitbit app. One thing I also noticed was that the "Ionic" showed up in the Bluetooth settings. I was pretty sure this only comes when you enable "Developer mode" on the Fitbit - which I had done to allow me to add my own watchface and apps.

Anyway after this restoration I could only see the old Fitbit data and Ionic wouldn't sync, even though trying a few times. While I though I might also need to factory reset the Ionic, I tried the only other thing I could think of was the go into the phone Bluetooth settings and "Forget" that Ionic pairing that was showing up. As soon as I did that, the watch synchronised with the Fitbit app. The Ionic entry didn't reappear in the phone Bluetooth menu, so I am fairly sure it is for the developer option only and I will have to re-enable the developer pairing for it to work again.

Hopefully this helps someone else down the track.
