Recording speed and limited fitness activities

How do you record and view speed with the ionic? After I review an activity, I cannot find anything that shows my speed. This is an important features of a GPS sports watch. Please confirm the ionic gps records one's rate.

Also, why are the fitness activities so limited? Am I missing something or is there a way to get more? I understand only 7 can be stored on the watch, and that's fine, but the problem is that the master list is majorly lacking. There are not items like skiing, snowboarding,  kyaking, etc. How could a "top of the line sports watch and fitness tracking company" be missing such key activities?  Any plans to add more soon? I fear your competitors are going to take all your non-runner outdoor fitness customers.

Thanks.

@Ebs675 Welcome to the Fitbit family! You can see your pace when recording a GPS run activity. Ionic will show 3 stats about your activity. You can customize them:

  1. On your watch, open the Exercise app > Run.
  2. Tap the gear icon in the top left.
  3. Find Customize Stats.
  4. Set the information you want to view during exercise for the top, middle, and bottom stats.
  5. Press the back button to return to the exercise screen.

You can select your pace here. Check this article for more details.

Regarding the activities you are looking on the exercise shortcuts, I recommend voting for this feature suggestion I found which is asking for something similar. You can also submit any other ideas you may have.

It is possible to manually log skiing and kayaking activities. This option is also good, feel free to try that out.

Also, SmartTrack recognizes activities as "sports". That will be automatically tracked. Check this article for more details.

Hope this helps. Keep me posted! Smiley Happy
