Can anyone tell me why I suddenly have a permanent red light on the back of my Ionic. Up till now it has just been the green ones.  What is the red light for?

Hi @SunsetRunner,

I suspect something might be wrong with the battery, in which case you will need to contact Support directly (link is at the bottom of the page) and ask for a Battery Test.

So, I have chatted to Fitbit and they tell me the red light is for an SP02 blood oxygen sensor used on certain clock faces. So it is correct to see this red light sensor and it shouldn't affect my battery life. I don't use an SP02  clock face. I don't need to know how much oxygen is in my blood (I hope). They also said it is a default feature and can't be turned off. Red light!!! Welcome to my Ionic. I think !!!. I hope this helps anybody else who spots the blood red light between the usual green on the back.

My Ionic is dieing of Scarlet Fever.  The red light is a perminant glow now that lights up my wrist. Fitbit have no fix and want me to buy another one. Fat Chance.  I am done with FitBit.

They are expensive and only last just pass the warranty.
